2020/21 Long Term Sickness Scheme
The Schools HR team provide a long term sickness scheme that covers the costs of agency staff in the event that a teacher or other staff are on sick leave. However due to the unprecedented situation with Covid-19 we have decided to put the scheme on hold until the day to day operations of schools return to normal.
This upside to this is that schools will only need to pay for the months that the scheme is running, so if the scheme resumes in September for example then schools would expect costs to be 7/12ths of the full year cost.
All those schools that have already purchased the scheme for 20/21 will have their orders put on hold, no money will be taken and prices will be adjusted when the scheme resumes.
When we have a clear indication of when schools will return to normal we will be promoting the scheme again.
2019/20 Long term Sickness Scheme
Claims for sickness absences up to 22 March will be processed as normal as long as they are accompanied by an appropriate medical certificate. Claims for the period 23 - 31 will not be processed as schools are not expected to require agency cover during this period due to schools running with reduced staffing requirements. Please get any outstanding claims sent in as soon as possible to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do not send in claims by post as these cannot currently be picked up.
